The recommended book is the ARRL Technician Licensing Manual, 3rd edition. It cost about $30 and several are available. The registration is so the handout can be prepared for you.

Please note that the General class is a different class than the Technician and it is in a different room.

This FREE 2 Saturday radio class is for you and everyone with little or no radio knowledge. One just needs to know how to multiply and divide or use a calculator. You will get everything you need to pass the test and get an amateur radio license. You donít need to learn Morse Code or CW. This is a very exciting cutting edge hobby. You can talk around the world on a radio that cost only $50. The VEC Test cost $15. Seven year old's have passed the test. Many families also attend.

There are 60 pages of handouts with 160 illustrations and quizzes and many items to see, feel and handle. Four or five instructors will answer your individual questions. There is over a 90% pass rate, and many pass the second level test also. Videos, songs and informative Youtube videos will make this a fun class for all. Do something exciting for yourself, this year. Get your radio license. Ham radios are great for Emergency preparedness and Survivalist, Hiking, Camping, and Boating. Please register so your handouts can be prepared. Register by sending your name and class dates in an email to, Daniel Stevens, at KL7WM@aol.com, Training Coordinator, (206-228-9274)
