Technical & Special Interest Committee

Welcome to the Mike and Key Technical & Special Interest Committee web page!

Our mission statement is The mission of the Mike and Key ARC Technical & Special Interest Committee is to advance the technological knowledge and proficiency of club members and the Amateur Radio community.

We carry out our mission using formal and informal instruction, mentoring, and other activities like kit building. Members are invited to join the committee and anyone can suggest a topic, ask a question, or request the support of an Elmer.

Technical Nets:

Mike and Key host a technical net on its 2m repeater and on Zoom focused on peer-to-peer support and learning. During these nets anyone may ask a question to the participants or open a technical topic for discussion.

Elmer Meetings via Zoom:

These meetings are intended to discuss various technical topics in more depth in a group setting or one-on-one. Contact the committee chair to set up a one-on-one and look to this page and/or the Relay for information on scheduled sessions.

Ready with Elmer Support:

Dreaming of building and testing a new type of antenna?

Needing some support with how to use test equipment?

Curious about digital modes you have not yet tried out?

Contact the committee chair and get paired up with an Elmer

Monthly Committee Meetings:

Our committee meets on the last Sunday of each month at 3:00 PM via Zoom - The Zoom Meeting will use the "Technical" Zoom connection parameters identified within the following Groups.IO message = Technical Zoom.
